Basic Overview of Copy Carbon Paper

Carbon copy sheets are generally used for writing two copies of a document, which were inefficient before the development of printing and photocopying technologies. Nowadays, with the advancement of printing and copying technologies, carbon copy sheets are primarily used for writing invoices or receipts. To use carbon copy sheets, simply insert them between two sheets of paper, write on the top sheet, and the writing will be transferred onto the carbonless paper below.

Understanding carbon copy sheets

Copy carbon paper contains temperature-sensitive chemicals. When exposed to high temperatures, it will turn black. As the pen moves across the paper, it produces friction and generates heat, causing the paper to turn black. If you attempt to use a lighter on carbon copy paper sheets, the paper will quickly change color. Therefore, while carbon copy paper sheets are very versatile, it is most suitable for archival purposes.

The surface of carbon copy sheets is coated with an acid colorant, while the back is coated with an invisible colorless dye. When the paper is overlaid and pressed, the microcapsules break, causing the dye to come into contact with the acid and create an image. Carbonless paper can be overlaid with several sheets and is typically used for documents and receipts. Deli has quality office paper wholesale, if you have such needs, you can contact us.

Copy carbon paper without carbon

Copy carbon paper without carbon is a novel type of carbon copy paper sheet. It allows you to write on the top layer without a carbon layer to transfer the writing. For traditional receipts that only use ordinary paper, an additional carbon layer must be inserted underneath the document to produce a copy. However, carbon copy paper sheets without carbon are bound with special paper. Nowadays, official documents with legal implications, including invoices, contracts, and agreements, are printed on carbonless paper without carbon.

Copy carbon paper without carbon is a type of invisible carbon copy sheet with the ability to directly copy and display text. When the pressure on the microcapsules causes the force-sensitive pigment and oil solution to overflow and come into contact with the colorant, a chemical reaction causes the pigment to appear and the carbon copy sheets to copy the text. It is mainly used for multi-part forms, receipts, continuous financial vouchers, general business vouchers, etc.

Copy carbon paper without carbon is coated with two layers. The CF layer contains a colorant, while the CB layer contains a color-developing agent. The color-developing agent is a special colorless dye that can dissolve in non-volatile carrier oil. The pressure from writing or printing can break the microcapsules, causing the colorless dye solution to flow out and react with the colorant, forming a visible image. Carbonless paper without carbon comes in five colors: red, yellow, green, blue, and white; and different visible colors, such as blue, yellow, orange, black, and red. It is also available in roll or sheet formats.

Even carbon copy sheets are constantly being improved upon. In the past, blue carbonless paper was prone to smudging and required a lot of pressure to transfer the writing to the lower sheets. Nowadays, copying carbon paper without carbon is more convenient and doesn't require additional carbon paper. However, it still needs to be handled carefully and protected from damage.
